Write at most three priorities for one named period. Each row needs a proposed action, not only a topic name. A priority is ready to act only when it has an owner, a measured baseline, a baseline evidence reference, a success criterion and a review date. An estimate is not a baseline and cannot support a verified reduction. Ready to act means the plan can begin. It does not mean the action has started or succeeded. A cafe uses the same three-row plan.

Return to the hospitality overview for the longer roadmap. The strategy guide remains the wider strategy page. Measure a food priority on the kitchen food-waste log.

What counts as an action

A sentence such as become sustainable, with no number, stays not started. The plan is not a list of jobs for one shift.

readiness_status is not_started or ready_to_act. implementation_status is not_started, started or completed. Keep them separate. A recorded baseline does not mean the action has started. Any chosen target is planning intent, not a forecast or a promised saving.

The hospitality overview lists months of activity. That list is not a measured baseline. This plan needs an owner, a number and a review date.

Fill in at most three rows

Download both files. Save a copy of the blank file and type into that copy.

The files are plain CSV. They do not score the business. A fourth priority is not added to the example.

ready_to_act needs an owner, a measured value, a unit, both dates, a baseline evidence reference, a proposed action, a success criterion and a review date. implementation_status stays not_started until work has actually begun, even on a ready row.

Worked example: one measured action and two that stay open

The plan is fictional for Northgate Kitchen. The kitchen is invented and is not certified. It could be read as a restaurant or a cafe.

Priority What was written Status
Plate-waste chips Owner head chef. Action: use a 6 oz scoop for chips on the dinner plate. 12 kg measured from 5 to 11 March 2026, scale log SL-12. Success criterion: keep comparable weekly plate-waste chips at or below 8 kg. Review date 18 April 2026. Ready to act, and implementation started. The 8 kg figure is fictional planning intent, not a forecast. The 12 kg is not a reduction.
Electricity No owner, no baseline, no action. Not started. An estimated or missing baseline cannot support a verified reduction.
Become sustainable Owner general manager. Action: write a sustainability page. No number. Not started, even though it has an owner.

Energy observations stay on the kitchen sheet if you need a close-down record. Public wording still goes through the green-claims guide.

Limits

A ready row means the baseline, the action and the review date exist. It does not mean the priority was achieved and it does not certify the business.
